The Philippines—an archipelago comprising 7,107 islands.. Imagine that!
I love my country. I love how God has blessed this nation with resources—both nature and its people. I love its rich culture and history. But there is one big problem… this nation, like the world, is in crisis.
I don’t even have to watch the news to see how ‘fallen’ this nation is. I just have to walk the streets and see Filipinos suffer everyday—dying from poverty, hunger, hate, physical and mental abuse, sickness, and the list could go on.
I still believe that God is in control, and that is one promise that I’m holding onto. Despite the crisis and the seemingly hopeless state of this nation, there is still ONE REAL SOURCE OF HOPE— Jesus Christ, our Savior and Mighty Deliverer.
I know that He is calling each Filipino to Him—to acknowledge that He alone is God, and He alone can save us from this predicament. And this is what I would want to share to every man in this archipelago. I want to share to every Filipino this hope that I have. And I would want to start with the youth, the bracket where I also belong—the influencers of this generation. From the youth comes the future leaders and the future carriers of hope for this nation.
